Chief Human Resources Officer FHN

Len has held several senior level HR leadership roles for 40 years. Since 1992 he has been the Human Resources Leader (Chief Human Resources Officer) for FHN in Freeport, Illinois where he has led the integrated healthcare system to achieve the Working Mothers Top100 and AARP Top 25 recognition. FHN also achieved the Employers’ Association award as the Non-Profit Employer of the Year in Illinois. FHN was honored as a top three finalist in the SHRM Human Capital Leadership Awards for its Leadership Excellence development program. In 2007 FHN received the official registered national designation of Employer of Choice. In addition to his current role, Len has led HR services for Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Fairfield Medical Center and Franklin Hospital District. He holds both a Bachelors and Master’s Degree. Len has been published on various HR topics, published author and has been an active presenter for both state and national programs, centering on relevant HR topics. He is also a previous recipient of the ASHHRA Communications Award. Len was recognized by Workplace HR & Safety magazine as a Who’s Who in the HR Profession. In 2021 and 2022, Len was honored with the OnCon Top 100 Human Resources Professional Award. He is a member of SHRM. Len is a past president of the Ohio Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administration, was a member of the SHRM National School to Work Committee, ASHHRA’s Learning and Business Development Committee and is past president of the Rockford Area SHRM Chapter. He is also active as an Illinois Compensation Trust Board member, former Chair of the Northwest Illinois Healthcare Collaborative, and as a local workforce development Board member
